Frequently asked questions

What does a "Good Chat" actually look like?

It’s professional therapy, but it feels like a genuine conversation. We skip the cold, clinical distance in favor of a space where you can let your guard down. We focus on "aha" moments and shared insights that happen naturally when you feel safe and heard.

I’ve never been to therapy. Is it going to be awkward?

It’s normal to feel a bit nervous! That’s why we focus on "connection first." Our goal is to make sessions feel low-pressure and productive. Think of it as a space to untangle the messy parts of life with someone who’s got your back.

What is "Culturally Adaptive" therapy?

It means we don’t use a "one-size-fits-all" approach. We recognize that your background, identity, and lived experience (including intergenerational pressures or cultural expectations) deeply impact your mental health. We lead with cultural humility to ensure you feel truly seen.

What is Perinatal Mental Health support?

This is specialized support for individuals and families navigating pregnancy, postpartum depression, anxiety, and the early stages of parenthood. We use CC-PMH strategies to help you manage the "mental load," set boundaries, and move past feelings of guilt or isolation.

What are your rates?

Individual (In-person or Online): $150 per 60-minute session.

Couples/Family (In-person or Online): $185 per 75-minute session.

Can I try it out before committing?

Yes! We offer a free 20-minute consultation. It’s a great way to see if we’re a good fit and to ask any specific questions you might have before your first full session.
